Exploring Europe by train

Travelling by train on our escorted rail holidays gives you the freedom to admire the beauty of continental Europe whilst reclining in your seat, stretching your legs or reading a book. On our train holidays there are no long queues at the airport check-in and security and unlike travelling by coach, you will not be restricted to a seat for hours on end on a two or three day journey. If this is your first time travelling to Europe by train you will be pleasantly surprised by how little time it takes to reach your destination. Guests on our European rail holidays which begin at St Pancras International are whisked through check-in, so that usually they can be relaxing in their seats onboard Eurostar within half an hour. Then the journey to Paris only takes a little more than two hours. 

Guests on our European train holidays travel on some of the continent's most renowned railways, from the famous narrow-gauge railways of Switzerland to the historic The North Yorkshire Moors Railway. All of our rail holidays feature carefully chosen accommodation with options to upgrade to First Class rail travel on selected tours, to ensure that you enjoy a truly relaxing and invigorating break. We also offer a variety of river cruises aboard floating hotels, which allow you to enjoy a relaxing cruise as well as all the advantages of travelling to your destination by train.
