Treyn works with over 50 dedicated Tour Managers from diverse professional backgrounds, who have been carefully selected for their passion for travel, sociable personality, knowledge and reassuring organisational skills. The Tour Managers are well travelled, usually speak other European languages and may have lived or worked abroad for several years. They have a valuable role to play and they're good company too.
Helping you get more from your trip
It's no surprise that the Tour Managers share an enthusiasm for rail travel but everyone also has personal interests and insights that bring the tours to life. From a love of Alpine walking to a passion for wines, history, art or architecture, we try to match the Tour Manager to each tour so they can really help you get the most from your chosen destination. We also meet up with local guides on many of our excursions to share even more in-depth, insider knowledge.
What your Tour Manager will do
Your Tour Manager will be there to welcome you at the beginning of your trip and will remain on hand throughout to ensure every aspect of your holiday runs smoothly. From changing trains to checking in at hotels and co-ordinating special dietary requirements, your Tour Manager will make sure everything goes to plan but will also take care of any issues or problems, should they arise. In addition, your Tour Manager is there to answer any questions you may have at any time but also share useful information and suggestions along the way that will enhance your holiday.
Making the most of your time
Many of our tours are based on a full itinerary of fantastic things to see and do which is where your Tour Manager really comes into their own. Through meticulous planning our unflappable Tour Managers bring everything together beautifully so you can enjoy each day at a more leisurely and pleasurable pace than might otherwise be possible independently. The Tour Managers can even help you make the most of your free days, by arranging optional excursions or suggesting local highlights from scenic trips to a top restaurant.
The Tour Managers are there for you
While providing practical assistance and good conversation, our Tour Managers are also careful to fade into the background as required. We respect our customer's independence and encourage customers to simply make use of the Tour Managers as much or as little as they like.
What about Treyn Rail & Stay?
When you travel on a Rail & Stay tour, you will be travelling independently, without a Tour Manager. We will supply you with tickets, reservations and instructions. Should things not go according to plan, you can call our UK support line anytime. Our rail advisors are available 24 hours a day.
