Relax on an Escorted Dordogne Rail Holiday

During your tour of the Dordogne's highlights we visit the medieval town of Sarlat where you can explore its narrow streets and visit the lively weekly market that sells all kinds of delicious regional food. There is also a trip along the river on a gabare, a flat bottomed boat, allowing you to get a spectacular view of the countryside and spot some of the region's castles of which there are over 1,500. A ride on the Truffadou Steam Train from the village of Martel is also particularly scenic, journeying along cliff edges and over viaducts.
