What to Expect from Lake Garda Holidays

Lake Garda is one of the most beautiful places in Italy with the Dolomite Mountains rising above the vast lake.  There is a diverse range of towns and villages dotted along the lake shores, each with their own charismatic charm.  The best way to see each place is to get a water taxi where you can hop on and off the boat to explore each little town.  Sirmione is located on the Sirmio peninsula that divides the lower part of the lake and is famous for its thermal springs and the magnificent 13th century Scaliger Castle.
