The magnificent Nice Carnival is held every year in February and lasts for two weeks, attracting more than a million visitors over the course of the fortnight. One of the largest in the world, the carnival comprises colourfully decorated floats with people in fancy costumes meandering through the streets of the town. Hundreds of musicians and dancers from all over the world come together to put on a show that is not to be missed, and the celebrations continue well into the night.
