  • Day 2 - Rüdesheim

After sailing along the romantic Rhine Gorge, we arrive in Rüdesheim, the Rhine Valley's most popular wine town, nestled beneath the vineyards. Free time allows you to wander the quaint squares and alleys such as the famous Drosselgasse.

    Breakfast, lunch, dinner

  • Day 3 - Christmas Eve in Frankfurt

On Christmas Eve we arrive in Frankfurt, a lively city home to many of Germany's economic institutions. Free time here allows you to explore its many attractions - such as the Römer, the spectacular medieval city hall - or perhaps join an optional city tour. Tonight we celebrate Christmas on board with a gala dinner, and afterwards you might like to visit Christmas Mass at Frankfurt's impressive Cathedral.

    Breakfast, lunch, dinner

  • Day 4 - Christmas Day in Mainz

Christmas Day morning is spent cruising leisurely towards Mainz, a city established by the Romans at the confluence of the Rhine and Main rivers. Home of the printing pioneer, Johannes Gutenberg, whose Bible was the first major printed work, Mainz has a carefully restored Old Town of half-timbered houses and narrow alleyways, and the magnificent cathedral of St Martin - a UNESCO World Heritage site.

    Breakfast, lunch, dinner

  • Day 5 - Rhine Gorge & Koblenz

On Boxing Day we cruise through the beautiful Rhine Gorge - a stretch of the river marked by pretty villages and broad vineyards, overlooked by atmospheric castles. This UNESCO-protected site is also home to the striking Lorelei Rock, which had a mythical reputation for luring sailors off course. This afternoon we reach Koblenz. Situated at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle, Koblenz has a fine collection of medieval and Baroque-style buildings including the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. You can join an optional tour of the town, or take in the sights at your own pace.

    Breakfast, lunch, dinner

  • Days 6-7 - To Bonn & London

Today we cruise through the stunning Siebengebirge region, an area of undulating hills also referred to as "the Seven Sisters", as we cruise towards Bonn. The town is known both as Beethoven's birthplace and as the former capital of West Germany. Here you can discover the celebrated Beethoven Haus, or simply wander the attractive streets of this charming city. Tonight we enjoy our final dinner on board. On Day 7 we return to Cologne and disembark the ship. We travel by rail to Brussels, where we join the Eurostar to St Pancras.

Day 6 - Breakfast, lunch, dinner
